Nursery admission arrangements
Many of our children join Springfield in the Nursery, aged three. A place in the Nursery does not guarantee a place in the main school but children meeting the Local Authority’s entry requirements will move on to Reception where they will be joined by children new to the school. Admissions to Nursery are provided by the school and there is no need to contact the Local Authority.
If you would like to arrange to visit us please call the school office on 020 800 9007, or click here to email the school admissions officer, Doreen Broomfield.
Reception class admission arrangements
Springfield Community Primary School admissions is governed by Hackney Learning Trust’s admission procedures.
Full details of the admissions criteria and a copy of the admission form for Reception are available on the Learning Trust website.
30 hour funding for Nursery children
The Government has begun to fund 30 hours per week for 3 to 4 year olds for those interested in full time Nursery places. Springfield are happy to offer these places to those that qualify. Parents can find out more about eligibility and apply online on the same site by visiting www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
We also offer the opportunity to pay top-up funding – please contact the school admissions officer for details.
